 The Festival of Ideas by Creative Community Singapore (CCS) aims to celebrate creativity in Singapore by inviting you to experience the fruits of the imagination from Singapore’s creative talents and businesses.

Through showcases, activities and programmes over the two-day event, Festival of Ideas hopes to demonstrate the sheer magic when creative ideas and entrepreneurship converge. Creativity, ideas and genius can happen in the most unexpected places.

Experience these two exciting days at Toa Payoh HDB Hub from 7 to 8 November 2008, Friday to Saturday, and be inspired!

Calling aspiring fashion designers in Singapore!

The Young Fashion Designer Society (Singapore) and * scape are organizing a  charity auction titled 100 X Strut. This event is a platform for Youth Fashion Designers to showcase their creative talents and empower them to be active in the community by challenging young people to do what it is they do best in a practical and artistic manner.

 

The 100 X series started off in 2007 titled 100 X Chairs where 100 visual artists painted chairs and sold them off for a whopping $8k with all proceeds to Singapore Children’s Society!

 

This year, YFDS and * scape hope to beat the record and raise $16,000 with  the 100 X Strut charity auction.  This auction seeks to showcase Singapore's p and coming talented young fashion designers celebrating Fashion. Women. Friendship.

This is achieved through the creation of 100 pieces of edgy street wear outfits/dresses inspired by the The Independent. The Passionate. The Enigma. The Activator. The Environmentalist characteristics of your best girl friends.  

Auctions of the outfits will be conducted and funds will go to the Dove Self Esteem Fund (to be confirmed) and *scape. Plus the designers and their friends will have the chance to showcase their work at fashion shows in December.
